My student group was required to create a digital game for a client overseas which both educated and enticed potential customers.
The Jewel Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
My team and I created a hidden object game called "The Hidden Jewel". Levels were based upon main attractions in and around the resort. Targeted at potential customers, the game was fun but also challenging, offering a rewarding experience upon each level completion. Players received points for finding objects which could later be traded in for real life discounts and offers at the resort.
As lead designer, I had one month to create all the visuals you see on this page: six different levels of gameplay with all objects and differences, menus, interfaces, maps, icons, the game logo, main character, and app icon.
The game did very well in the testing phase and received great feedback. Since this was completed as a school assignment, the game did not have a life after the course, but it lives on through stills and fond memories.
